Beats sound different on pc

I have a pair of beats by dre solo hd headphones, which are pretty good and bassy on my iphone and ipad. But i've connected them to my pc and they're nothing like they sound on iphone. Is this something to do with them not getting enough power? or is it that im using my onboard sound card?

Your iPhone might have the EQ setting on bass boost, you're going to have to change your levels with the audio program you use. If you are using VLC, they have a bunch of presets and an adjustable slider set for certain ranges so you can get whatever sound you want.
