Been looking at laptops for HOURS! PLEASE HELP

I think I'm going insane. Could someone please perform a miracle and inform me of a quality gaming laptop that can run newer games UNDER $800 that has a 17.3" (GOOD QUALITY) screen and has a disk drive? Also which of these would run newer games better?
HP LAPTOP
OR
ASUS LAPTOP

If looking to play games, even some AAA titles (perhaps some settings lowered, game dependent), the HP with it's A10 APU will allow a wider variety to run fluently. The Asus laptop has a (much) better CPU so if gaming or graphics intensive work isn't a consideration then it would be my choice.

THANKS! That is just the answer I needed! Also will either of them be even be able to run Skyrim smoothly on at least low settings?

Thanks again! Last question. While looking at the HP pavilion reviews online I found this. HP Pavilion - 17-f111nr
Would it be any better for gaming? Or worse?

Even though it features a newer APU, I really can't push the A8 APU, IMO the A10-5750M will give better performance overall - I'd go the A10 route
