My price range is around $400 max(I know, it's very low)

I'll end up upgrading it anyways so I just need a good solid laptop for now.

a little more details would be helpful.
a cheap laptop with an amd a series apu should let you game a little.
this is a list from newegg.com containing laptops from $429.99 and up.
this list has laptops from $407 and up.
prices depend on where you live, what are your preferences (cpu, gpu, ram etc) though.
