I was looking for the best camera/camcorder for recording things like hunting snowmobiling etc. I was looking for a camera that does 1080p @60fps. I would also like it to be able to pick up little detail.

Here is what I'm thinking so far:
Sony HDR-CX380/B

Canon EOS Rebel T3i

please list more cameras that are like these! thanks for all your help!

According to the specs on the T3i it records 1280x720 @ 60fps and not 1080p.
"Three Recording Sizes
Full HD Video is captured at 1920 x 1080 resolution at 30p (29.97), 24p (23.976) or 25p frames per second, for up to 4GB per clip. Videos are saved as .MOV files and can be viewed in Full HD with HDMI output. Other recording sizes include HD at 1280 x 720 (50p/60p (59.94) fps) or SD/VGA at 640 x 480 (30p (29.97) and 25p fps)."

However, the Sony HDR-CX380 will record 1920x1080 @ 60fps.

Do you plan on recording continuously for more than 30 minutes? If yes, then the T3i may not be the best choice. Usually, there is about a 30 minute recording limit with a DSLR and you have to watch out for overheating. If you're not shooting continuously for more than 30 minutes then this shouldn't be an issue. Will you be stationary or mobile while recording? If mobile, you might want to factor in the weight of the camera.

Other camcorders to consider are:
Canon VIXIA HF R400 Full HD Camcorder (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/909788-REG/Canon_8155b004_VIXIA_HF_R400_Full.html)
Panasonice HC-V520 Live Streaming HD Camcorder (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/910273-REG/panasonic_hc_v520k_hc_v520_live_streaming_hd.html)

thanks for the insight I will go with the Sony HDR or Cannon VIXIA. I will most likely not be recording for more than 30 min at a time but I will be moving. I also took in fact of how good the t3i looks even at 30fps the small detail is amazing! I wish the t3i did 1080p 60fps but until then I will go with something else thanks!

I have had good experiences with both Canon and Sony but have never used a Panasonic. Personally I would go with the Canon VIXIA HF R40. I like the larger image sensor, the headphone and microphone jacks, and more recording options for MPEG4. The Sony does have a microphone jack.

One last question I heard that YouTube compress's videos down to 29.97 fps no matter what so the only pro of 60fps would be slow-motion and for snowmobiling and other stuff that is nice but with the Cannon EOS rebel t3i it picks up small video detail and is very good for taking photos

What exactly is the question? I think I missed it. If it is about YouTube converting the video to 29.97 fps then I think that is correct. As far at the T3i goes the advantage is better depth of field and the ability to use interchangeable lenses.

I own a Canon 32GB VIXIA HF G20 Full HD Camcorder and a Canon T4i. For handheld recording I find the VIXIA easier to hold. The VIXIA records great video. However, it comes down to a matter of personal choice. With the T3i you will get better depth of field, the option to change lenses and you will have manual controls for exposure, aperture, and ISO settings which are things lacking with the VIXIA HF R40 and R400. That said, will you be comfortable learning and using the manual controls or are you looking for a point-and-shoot type camera/camcorder?
I stand corrected, after looking at the specs the VIXIA HF R40 does have manual settings for exposure.

I don't think you'll go wrong with either choice. I hope either choice works well for you.
