I am looking for an older (thus cheap) Mac laptop for basic video editing ($200 Max). I won't really need any other requirements, but I would prefer a small screen size.
2nd one down, the discount mac shop. 349 plus 12 dollars shipping. That's why I prefer (refurbished) from ebay, like the one I linked was 36k reviews with 99% review, where as 95% positive with 745 reviews. Just saying, but your choice xD
I recommend spending the extra 100 to buy a 2009 version of the Macbook. I've done extensive research on macs (I'm a total geek) and they generally last 6-7 years. So for 300 bucks, you could get another 3-4 years of use out of this Mac.
This is the 2007 version, it's 194 bucks. But the extra gig of ram should help on the macbook and the bigger hard drive. Although both of these are upgradable, your going to pay more to get to the 09 mac, and the OS only supports a maximum amount of ram. Also the 2009 version supports 10.9 Mavericks (latest version of Mac OS)
Edit- Here's a site that sells mac ram, and if you purchase the 2009 Mac, it'll explain how to find what memory you have. Macs are picky about what they have.

How would a Powerbook G4 12" work for basic video editing (putting clips together, adding music, adding all that stuff) if I put an SSD in there? Note: I am a very patient person.
