Best connection type for-- HDTV to PC

Solution
s-video is not HD
it is only better than composite, but not HD

DVI is digital, so it is best

if you pc has dvi out and youy hdtv doesn't have dvi IN just get a connector converter from dvi to hdmi

this is the order of worst to better picture from your tv (monitor)

1. composite (the yellow video connector)
2. s-video
3. component (the 3 color connectors blue/red/green)
(this one could be better than 4, depends on ehre th RGB signal came from)
4. vga
5. hdmi=dvi

Solution
Typically HDMI is the best if you want sound coming out of the HDTV's speakers.

If you are connecting the sound output to an audio system, then the DVI connection would be better. You can still use HDMI, but you should then turn off the HDTV's volume since the sound would be coming out of other speakers.
