The following Acer seems to be the best laptop @ Newegg.com in the $500 - $700. It actually sells for $600 and it comes with a quad core AMD A10-5757m APU along with a Radeon HD 8750M graphics chip which offers decent performance. It is around the same (maybe slightly better) performance as the nVidia GT 735m.
For $700 + tax, you can buy the Lenovo IdeaPad Y410p from Lenovo. It comes with a dual core i5-4200m and more importantly a nVidia GT 755m which is more powerful by a wide margin than the Radeon HD 8750m. It considered a high performance mainstream card. The GTX 760m would be considered a lower end high performance gaming card...
Uh yea good luck with that. Not to be mean but you won't be getting a gaming laptop for 500 dollars. It would cost at least 700 to 1000 for a good one. It is always cheaper for a desktop tho. You will have to expand your budget for a laptop tho
