Hi there,

I'm looking to buy a headset that I will primarily use for gaming on PC, I was wondering what the best ones out there are for <£200. I have seen the Sennheiser PC 363D and of course Astro, Razer etc. I would like them to be open backed.

Cheers

I feel that the HyperX II Cloud is a fantastic headset to pick up for gaming.

It has 7.1 virtual surround sound.
The paddings are swappable.
The headset is made of brushed aluminium giving it a premium look and touch.
The microphone, although not the best but definitely gets the job done.
The headset is priced not too expensive.

Hi all, thanks for your replies. I have looked through all your recommendations and they all look very nice. On the topic of the Sennheisers i mentioned earlier, do you think they are worth it considering i can get them for £150? I dont think i would get another pair of Turtle Beaches, I personally am not keen on them.

Sennheisers are a really great product, they rank up there with some of the highest end headsets. But once you get into that price range, about £150-£200, it might be more worth it to spend the money on an actual speaker system which would provide you with real surround sound, rather than virtual.

Either way, if you can get the Sennheisers at a greatly reduced price, and they are the product you want, you should definitely go for the purchase!
