Hi everyone,

Looking for an opinion on this laptop for gaming, I’m getting one for my girlfriend who doesn’t game a lot now but she as expressed a desire to do it more and I want something that is going to last her for a while so I’ve set my eyes on a laptop with a 960m, which I feel would be more than adequate for the titles she will ever likely to play. The most demanding games she has ever played are The Sims 4, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments and Team Fortress 2, but she has expressed a desire to play WoW, possibly a 960m isn’t needed for the above games but the point is to get her something that will run the above games well so that it covers her for any other more demanding games she might decide to play, and if she doesn’t then she’ll get a lot of years out of it before needing a new one.

Anyways, the cheapest laptop I can find with a 960m is over at pcspecialist.co.uk for £669

Intel i5 6300HQ (2.3Ghz, 3.2Ghz turbo)
8GB Kingston DDR3 1600MHz (1 x 8GB)
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960M - 2.0GB
1TB SERIAL ATA II 2.5" HARD DRIVE WITH 8MB CACHE (5,400rpm)
128GB M.2 2280, SATA 6Gb/s (510MB/R, 310MB/W)

This comes with the usual DVD drive, media card reader but no OS, I can install Windows 10 on it myself.

I am a little reluctant to go with pcspecialist as I don’t know too much about them but I’m wondering what your opinions are, would a more reputable brand be worth looking at for the full budget or are there any other good options out there that can match or better this spec? Maybe a 950m would be sufficient but with a better processor and build quality, I do worry though than getting a 950m means having to replace the laptop sooner down the line.

Thanks
