I would like a new gaming laptop and not sure if these options are too much or too little but here.
I play most newer games and would like to play new games for a while. Right now I am buying it to play Battlefield 3 on high settings.

Display:
15.6" or higher
Video Card:
Geforce 650 (or higher) with 2gb of onboard ram
Processor:
The best one for gaming? AMD or Intel I don't know.
Memory:
6GB Of DDR3 or higher.
Hard Drive:
at least 750GB and hopefully a fast one
Battery Life:
Doesn't matter
Weight:
Doesn't matter

What would a laptop like this cost and is it too cheap to play new games on High?
So far I looked at some and I found the Lenovo Y580 that had what I wanted but not sure if Lenovo is a good company. I heard ASUS is good.

Definitely looks nice but 1000$ was pretty much the most I could spend. I was hoping I could get some around the 800$ range but I guess not :p

The CPU is really the only downfall to it. It's a quad-core so it gets the job done but an Intel would no doubt be faster. But when it comes to gaming, the CPU isn't as important as the GPU. The 7970M is more than twice as fast as the GTX660M. With the GTX660M, you're looking at 1366x768 for BF3 on high whereas you'll be rocking 1080p for BF3 on high if you have the mighty 7970M.

That's the first link I posted is that same laptop on amazon for 60$ less and the more I look at it the more I like it. The look of it is medium for me, but for the price and what you get I am impressed. I read some really good reviews for it. The only downside is it's resolution at 1366 x 768.

Could you tell me what the M is on the Graphics? Like Geforce 660M and then the 650. I'm assuming the 660M is better right?

Please tell me I'm reading that wrong :/

Wow. so how futureproof would you say the 660M is?

Now I'm really liking that MSI and considering saving up for it.
Is there a link like the graphics card hierarchy for CPUs?
