My old PC is dying, so I was looking for game/school laptops. I looked EVERYWHERE, but I couldn't find the perfect laptop. Well the requirements are,

USA.

Must cost around 700~1000.

Has to run games and other programs like butter.

Like: HP, Lenovo, any really
Dislike: Apple

Windows 8

High Resolution (1600 x 900)
Max Resolution (1920 x 1080)

Web Surfing, Listening to Music, Photo Editing, Video Editing, Casual Gaming, Graphic Intense Gaming

Better if it's 3D.

500 GB or higher

At least 15 in. (The Screen)

The games I play: Mincraft, COD II and Crisis 3.

Run schoolwork fast.

That's about it, please help me! :pt1cable:

Lenovo y580 is the only one i can think of off the top of my mind that fits your reqs. (except that i got 1080p version for $900, and that might top out your budget.)

I have one; its good, but chunky, and max battery life is between 3.5 and 4 hrs surfing (less if video watching)

Also note that they always have sales on. They aren't really sales unless you can get 1080p for under ~950, 720p for under 850

y500 has gt 650m, not as good as gtx 660m in y580. also note that there are lots of other laptops out there.

The y500 has the ultrabay. you can get a 2nd GPU for $137 and run GT650m SLI when needed. Which is faster than the GTX660.
