So I want a laptop for school that isn't that heavy, maybe 3-5 pounds max. I do some gaming, with black ops 2, and advanced warfare so... I would prefer a 4 hour battery storage max, and 15.6" screen max. The main thing I need is build quality, I need a laptop that would last 4-5 years with gpu or cpu crashing at all. Heat is not that much of an issue, but I don't want it to get 90 celsius like my current 11" mba. I would like some cpu power so. The last thing I need is, I can't have it have too much bling (I am going to college), so take alienware off the list, light up keyboards are fine! My budget is $1,300. Thanks!

The question of a gaming laptop able to play high to medium high end games quietly, comfortably and under 5 pounds within $1,300 is a dream. If Stealth(No Flashy Alienware's Fad), and your $1300 budget is your primary concern, Sager's modest and smooth builds but still resemble sharp edges and a gtx 970m(Second Best Laptop GPU yet) around $1,300 are the things I like the most. They are quite bulky but and they aren't sturdy since they will collapse pathetically if you drop them. But this persists in any gaming laptop, period. Anything quieter or colder, Asus's builds will take care of that but in a almost similarly flashy and red fashion like the alienware. Anything more powerful, there won't be, at least not in your budget. Anything...

The debate of things lasting vs build quality for me is quite settled if I tell you the story of my dad's 8 years old Dell Studio that still runs strong(The hinge between the keyboard and the screen will probably go before the CPU/GPU die to the looks of it).
