Best Mic/mic stand for chatting in Skype in games and some recording?

Along with a pair of Sennheiser HD800 Headphones and a Sennheiser HDVD 800 Headphone Amplifier, what would be the best quality Mic I could get to go along with those? I would mainly be using it for chatting over Skype during gaming and possibly some recording. I have an Asus Rampage V Extreme mobo. Price should not be a problem, but preferably under $1,000.

And please don't just say buy a headset with a good mic... If I buy a $1,500 headset with no mic, I want a dam good separate mic/mic stand to go with it. Sorry if that sounded rude. Anyways...

Well Sennheiser is the king of the hill when it comes to headphones of any time, especially those for gaming. They also happen to be one of the leading microphone manufacturers along with Shure.

I would start with those two. I know you want a stand, but they make some killer over the ear mic's that are extremely minimalist like the HSP-4. (Sennheiser)
