So, I've been looking at getting a gaming laptop. Yes, I know a desktop would be, most of the time, faster, I go a lot of places, so I need a capable gaming laptop. I'm looking at the Clevo P750ZM from AVA Direct, and the level 2 Triton from Digital Storm. It's on sale right now, and it has a GTX 970m, a SSD, and by default, a 7200 RPM HDD. The other has a fancy RGB (I think?), so I'm probably going to get the DS one, but I'm a bit concerned about thermals and throttling. Do any of you know of any good gaming laptop manufactures/builders, with laptops that have gtx 970m? Preferably 15.6 inch?

Here are all the laptops with the 970M:

Honestly, i'd get a cheap one, if it's just for gaming and you don't care about boot times (good ssd), how fast the game loads (ssd again), or a killer screen (some models have QHD screens and stuff, then getting the basic MSi model should do.

It has a 17 inch screen at 1080p. If you really want a 15", here's a good one...

You cant go wrong with msi. My buddy has one that he has been using since 2006 and it still works flawlessly. Also, scan through the reviews before buying. You can find out a ton of info that way. I would buy from newegg. Low prices, good customer service, and no bs.

Both of the msi laptops mentioned would serve you well. Sturdy build quality, good sounding speakers, excellent steelseries backlit keyboards, easy access for upgrading, and very good displays (although TN panels, not IPS). But they aren't light. The GT70 weighs about 8.6 lbs, and the GT60 about 7.5 lbs. The powerbrick adds at least another pound.
