Best way to connect laptop / tv / surround system

tv = 3 hdmi in/out connections
laptop = 1 hdmi output
surround sytem = 1 hdmi output

Is there a way to connect my laptop to my surround system and have it all come thru my tv with this setup?

I would have thought that if the Surround system had an HDMI Out, then it would also have an HDMI In.
If it does, try going thru it first, and then to the TV. Both the Surround System and the TV may even have an HDMI Input that is dedicated for PC use.

You should really list make and models for all 3 things, so we can be sure what options you have.

Since you say the TV has HDMI in/out, I assume it has ARC (audio return channel). If it does and your surround system is actually 1 HDMI in, then:

Laptop -> (HDMI cable) -> TV -> (ARC HDMI cable) -> surround system

If the surround system has both HDMI in and out (i.e. it's an AV receiver), then:

Laptop -> surround system -> TV
