I need a cost efficient way to get my computer on the TV screen, though sound alone to my receiver would be adequate...

Here's a vague model of the Den:

The room size is about 24' x 30' .... which presents a potential problem routing HDMI under the floor... I've considered the course of HDMI over CAT6 through wallplates, powered by the excess in my PSU... which would likely work... but would cost a couple hundred for supplies... is there a viable way to transmit sound wirelessly without delay?

I currently have (for audio only) computer headphone jack > 35' 3.5MM M/F > ipod stereo conversion chord > receiver thing going on but there's an unacceptably loud feedback at higher volumes and the chord is obnoxious...

I bought the receiver for the bluetoooth and wifi capability, but syncing them required streamwhatyouhear (as the best option I found). and had a LONG delay in transition...

While wirelessly is seemingly capable, if I'm going to spend the money and effort to hard wire, I want A/V... so HDMI over CAT6 seems to be the best option... anybody have any other ideas/suggestions?

What are you trying to do, just play videos/music on your TV through your PC? Personally, I just use Chromecast for that. Had to pay a couple extra bucks for Plex (media streaming service) but it lets me stream my entire media library through Chromecast. There are a bunch of similar apps that will do the same thing. The Chromecast itself will handle Netflix and various other popular streaming services, which all have native support for it, and will also cast Google Chrome tabs, allowing you to play flash videos, etc. The only thing it can't do is mirror your actual desktop or stream games over it.

You could try using an HDMI cable that uses RedMere Tech. It's supposed to allow you to reliably go to ~65ft in length which would give you some routing options be it running it along the perimeter of the room, under the floor or through the ceiling.
