Question Big Sur on unsupported MacBook Pro?

Version 10.11.6
MacBook Pro (13- inc h, Mid 2012)
Processor 2.5 GHz Intel Core iS
Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Startup Disk 500GB Macintosh SSD
Graphics Inte l HO Graphics 4000 1536 MB

According to this youtube vid, I can do this with my MacBook Pro if I upgrade to Catalina first:

I did it before but it was glitchy, some video stuff didn't work the best and eventually, it just stopped loading and I had to go back to a supported OS. Not sure if things have improved since then.
