Bios Password

When I try to get to the bios setup screen in my Compaq NC6220, I get a message that says Administrator Password with a KEY symbol on the side of it, it will not let me Type a password or anything, so I am very confused here.. I have removed the CMOS battery for 24 hours and I still get the same message. I have searched and searched, and can not find a solution for this problem, Help please !!

Removing the battery won't help -- the password is probably written into flash memory. Contact HP/Compaq and explain the situation -- they may have a back door solution though they may charge and demand proof of ownership.
