BIOS reset in Inspiron 5547

I recently tried to reset my bios settings to default.So i re seated my cmos battery and then waited for a minute.Now i try to turn my laptop it turns on with 5 beeps(continously beeping).
I turn off my laptop with pressing power button.After that when i boot my laptop for the second time it doesnt beep anything shows everything normal(no hdd).
After that 2nd boot when i see my bios i see that the clock is re started from 00:00:00 ...and it counts on from there date shows 2013.

Does that mean my bios is reset to default?

5 Beeps is going to mean a CMOS battery failure. Did you make sure to unplug power cord, remove battery, and hold power button for 10 seconds before removing battery?

The nice thing is that your laptop turns on --- so at least the motherboard isn't fried!
