Bitdefender Total Security Question

i was thinking of getting bitdefender but i like to know how much space this progam takes and if it doesn't slow down my pc performance

I'm currently using ESET NOD32, do you think this is a good program and stick with this or should i pick another one?

a friend of mine told me once that i should pick this one because it doesn't take up much space and doesn't slow down my pc.

PC info:
- Intel i7
- 6 ram
- window 7 (soon windows 8.1)
are these the info you need to know?

you can run bitdefender no problem at all, bitdefender is the best antivirus software you can get and it actually has less of an impact on performance than eset

wow i didn't know that, where did you got this info from, could you give me a link?
the only thing now from stopping me to go buy it right now is the size.

5gb is a lot and for the moment i don't have the necessary space for it.
what are good alternatives with less size?

just out of interest how much space does eset use? if your happy with eset its not by any means a bad antivirus software so just stick with it, when i had avira i quite liked it but i can't remember how much disk space it used up
