black screen of my laptop

I bought my Acer E5-476G-38QZ last week. While I'm playing dota2 with it, the screen suddenly blinked with some lines and turned to black. On my assessment i think that the excessive use of it caused that because these past few days my brother was playing with in for 6-7 hours. But what might be the exact cause of that? And can someone give me tips to maintain it bcs it is my first time to own a laptop and i know very little in caring for a laptop. Thank you .
