Ty for not naming off a bunch of crappy games that i could shoot down one at a time. Since mobile phones have yet to have a good game on them. Even the concept games were crap a decade a go like quake. and the "new" stuff i see people bringing out not impressive. especialy when most tie thier apps (games) to the device its self.

I remember reaching the 1 GHz for the PC not really so long ago. It was a pretty big deal. Now cell phones have that kind of power in peoples pocket. What would Alexander Graham Bell think?

😀

he created the first optica based wireless phone system.

Nice hardware specs but... it still is just a blackberry. Why don't RIM release an android phone? BlackDroid anyone?

Why all the hate for the Torch? Not everyone is a power user who requires a mega HD screen and HDMI output on their phone. I bought a Torch last month for under $100 (half the price of the 16GB iPhone 4) and I love it so far. The screen resolution is fine (I don't plan to watch Avatar on it, for Pete's sake); the touch screen and apps are plenty responsive; the USB transfer speed is more than fast enough for my needs; the sound quality is good when I use it as an MP3 player; the battery life is awesome; call quality is good; the 5 MP camera takes crisp pictures; the web browser is totally adequate for my needs; and the keyboard is excellent (a key point, since I have big fingers). It may not match the specs of some of the higher end Droid phones, but then, it's also priced lower than most of them...

Just got my first Blackberry - a Torch. Slider is really smooth; screen is good and certainly adequate. I don't need to use this as my movie player - though the next improved screen will be nice too. Battery life is very good - and I wouldn't want to give up battery life in exchange for faster processor speed. This isn't a iPhone which is great for entertainment - but this does everything well and excels at staying connected and e-mailing, texting, social networking. I'm happy with my choice and glad to support a Canadian technology company. Still think they should make these phones in Canada and not China though (of course, the iPhone and iPad) comes from China too. Ps - the iPad is a great choice for entertainment - but lack of Flash is a serious flaw. Looking forward to the release of the Blackberry Playbook with Flash support and eventually faster 4g networks!
