Solved! Bluetooth headphones sound distortion and crackling

Hi everyone,

I have been having trouble with my Bluetooth Headphones (Skullcandy Crusher Wireless)

My headphones were working perfectly, I had no issues connecting them and playing whatever audio, music and gaming. However, the moment I connected my laptop to my TV via HDMI the problem started. Basically the sound steaming is constantly interrupted and distorted. Sometimes it plays and just continues to disrupt and sometimes it does not play any sound at all. Even after I have completely disconnected the HDMI. I have tried to reinstall the realtek audio driver, disable the device to no avail.

Would appreciate some advice or assistance.

First step is to find out if the issue is on the laptop or headphones. Try them on another device, try another headphone with the laptop.
