Bose 901 speakers

Please Help, I recently got a pair of Bose 901 without the equalizer, I'm extremely disappointed with the outcome. I also have a pair of 301's that sounds a lot better. Does the equalizer makes such a difference???????

The Bose 901 are designed to be used with the Eq only. They have their flaws even with the Eq but without there will be little bass or treble. If you have tone controls you can try to adjust them but it will not be the same as the EQ.
