Bose Acoustimass 10 Series

Hi, I am planning to purchase Bose Acoustimass 10 Series. I have samsung hd 4k.
Do I need to have a separate receiver to connect to Bose home theater?
Is that possible to connect Bose Acoustimass directly to my TV Samsung hd 4k, if possible will i be getting right quality of sound that Bose claims.

The Acoustimass requires an AVR, you cannot plug it directly into the TV.

Is there a particular reason why you are choosing the Acoustimass?
