Bose T10 not 3D-compatible, does it work?

Hello,
Bose Lifestyle T10 does not handle 3D. Is it stupid to buy it when our TV (Samsung 7-series) does 3D?

In the shop they say no Bose Lifestyle does 3D so if we want this, we need to buy Blue-ray etc w 2 hdmi-out, one for sound to Bose and one to the tv for 3D-picture. This solution sounds not so good, i.e. then other 3D-sources (camera, PS4 etc) would have to go both ways too. If so, it seems cumbersome to buy the Bose.
I heard sthg of audio return channel. Does this solve it? Is it blueray to tv to Bose? Does Bose T10 have this?

you know it is issues like this here that make me feel good about wanting to keep my video system it's own system and my audio system it's own system .
