Hi,
I've upgraded my Lenovo P500 to Windows 10 from Windows 8, I noticed that the brightness has become very low. Could anyone help me fixing this issue?

Solution
Microsoft added adaptive brightness to Windows 8 and 10. Most vendors disabled it in 8 (because it's annoying and the laptop vendor usually has their own auto brightness app). But if you upgraded to Windows 10, it's probably enabled again.

Same problem with my Lenovo P500. Accidentally found the fix with a normal boot, but power adapter UNPLUGGED, while holding shift-F12 down during boot.

Noticed this to be my solution...good work.

with my situation i just held the Fn+F12 instead. which reminded me how I got here to begin with....I use this laptop to test any kind of operating system I can get my hands on and twinkle with the F12 from time to time...and as I saw this comment I knew that was my problem.
Thank You
