Hi,
About two weeks ago, I have been noticing that my HP Pavilion dv6-6000 series laptop had been overheating. I have cleaned the ventilation, replaced the thermal compound and cleaned the fan it self and I have since still been experiencing overheating. Upon further investigation, I have found out that one of the pins in the 4 pin connector had been bent or broken off. I am wondering if there is a work around for this problem or I have to replace the connector. I have only done begginer work on soldering and I do not have a soldering kit on hand.

Thanks in advance
-Virgil

PS: My warranty is already over.
PSS: This is the type of connection but 4 pins http://tinyurl.com/mds64cy
