Buying a Gaming laptop (Alienware) which should I go for?

Hi, I am planning on buying an Alienware gaming laptop. I had narrowed down my search to the Alienware 15 r2 with a i7 6700HQ, a gtx 970m, 8gb of ram and a 1tb HDD. However for only £84 more I could buy the Alienware 17 with the same i7 but a gtx 980m 8GB Gpu.

So I was wondering if anyone has experience with either of the laptops? My main concern is that the Alienware 17 may not be very portable as it seems quite large? however the price per performance upgrade to a gtx 980m 8GB seems worth it..

In terms of SSD I could get the Alienware 15 with an SSD for just £5 less than the 17 W/O the SSD. However I plan to install an SSD in the future anyway..

If you are going to carry the laptop everyday I would choose the 15", since the larger one is bulkier and heavier to carry around. If mostly it is going to sit on your desk get the 17" one, the 980m performs much better than the 970m. Well worth the extra cost.
