Buying a new laptop, 400-600 or 700$, College/Gaming Need Recommendations ASAP :< (Form Filled Out)

Hey everyone!
I really need your help on this, the next semester's fast approaching and I still can't decide. I'm by no means an expert in this stuff so I rlly need your help

1. What is your budget?
Around 400-600 or 700$
(Roughly around 20-30 thousand php)

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
I'm really not that picky about size, but I would like something around 14-16 inches.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
Current laptop is at 1280x720 and the max is 1360x768. Maybe something a little higher?
I just know that I wouldn't want anything too taxing on the hardware that would affect the laptop's performance.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
The latter one.

5. How much battery life do you need?
Maybe around 3-5 hours?

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
YES, definitely.

Dota2, League of Legends, Overwatch, CSGo and some other games like that on maybe the highest settings? I know that other games like Witcher 3 and Battlefront would be too much of stretch for the kind of laptop that I'd be looking for, but anything that can run LoL or Dota2 smoothly I'm good with.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Not much else except for gaming, really and a little bit of school works here and there, the standard Word, PPT and stuff. Maybe something that can work well with FL Studio too but I'm not sure yet. Also something where I can watch my fave anime, movies, and tv series with ease.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
I think the standard 1TB from current laptops would be enough.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
I don't have any, I'm just gonna hunt down malls here in the Philippines if I can find any of the recommendations that you give me. :)

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
Maybe 3-5 years? My old laptop is like, 8 or 9 years old already lol

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
I'm not too picky about this stuff.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

I'm considering only Asus, Acer, Dell, and HP bec. those are the ones readily available in my country. Not considering buying from Apple because it's just too expensive.

13. What country do you live in? I live in the Philippines.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

I just really want a laptop where I can have the standard Microsoft Office programs and get to play at least even just the occasional LoL or Dota2 when I have my free time. I'm still a college student and it's really hard to shell out stuff but I really need a new laptop 'cause I can feel that this old one is near its impending doom lol

I know I might sound like I demand too much from a laptop but I just really want that "I can play whenever I want and keep these games installed without it interfering with the performance of my Microsoft Powerpoint" and stuff.

Also, I know some will say "why not just get a PC?"
I'm planning on assembling a boss-ass rig just after I finish school and get to earn and invest for it, so yeah. That's why I was a little too tight on the budget for now and I said I only wanted it for around 3-5 years, so there's that.

I hope someone will see this and help me. Thank you so much! :)

If you can stretch your budget to 34,000 PHP which is almost $700 USD, then you can buy a laptop with a nVidia 940mx which is the best you can hope for based on a quick search.

The 14" Acer Aspire E5-475G-51SV

- Core i5-6200u
- 1080p screen
- 4GB of RAM
- 1TB Hard Drive
- nVidia 940mx

You can click on the following link for some game benchmarks for the nVidia 940mx. Note that many game can have several benchmark results for a specific resolution depending on exactly which specific laptop models were benchmarked.

What I think you should do is buy a cheap laptop for like $200 to use for college work and build a $500 gaming PC to use for... well... gaming :) if you're not keen on building then I'd recommend getting a pre-built one with AMD graphics and processor because they specify in gaming. :)
