Cable Replacement - Acer Aspire M5 583 5859

I have an Aspire M5 583. The LCD cable is faulty. How do I replace it? It is threaded THROUGH the left-hand hinge. Do I disassemble the hinge? If so, HOW? I know how to disassemble the computer. It is the LCD Cable that I'm stumped on. Anyone? Help!

A question - how are you certain that it is the fault of the LCD cable and not something else?

The computer would boot OK...but then if you adjusted the screen on just the right angle of being open the monitor screen worked correctly...if you changed the angle on the screen just slightly the screen would go black.
I opened the laptop and visually examined the LCDcable and found that the green colored conductor was broken...thus the LCD cable is faulty. I have ordered a replacement cable from Acer...but need help installing it. The cable is threaded THROUGH the left-hand hinge.
