CADdownload onto sony VAIO

I have a SONY VAIO not sure which series but its got an i3 processor and windows7 and 64 bit operating system, i am studyig interior design and therefore i need to downlad AutoCAD for my own laptop, every atempt i have had so far tells me that i need to reset some sort of settings in order to complete the download but doesnt specify what! could anyone point me in the right direction please!
