Question Camera for wedding photography?

Hi , can you recommend a camera that is good for wedding photography. I've been planning to buy a camera for this occasion for a long time so I'd like your opinion, my budget is up to $2,000.

Any DSLR or mirrorless that you are already familiar with.

Canon/Nikon/Fuji/Sony.
With appropriate lens(es), all produce great pictures.

The question is - How much experience do you have with cameras and weddings?
A wedding is a one time event, never to be repeated. And it is easy to flub it, if you're just getting started.

Is this a paid gig, or just doing it for a friend?

I am most familiar with Nikon. For now, I plan to photograph a few of my friends' weddings that will take place this year. Thanks for the response.

Then whatever Nikon and lenses you currently have.

A good photographer knows it is more about the composition, lighting, and post processing, and less about the hardware.
