Can’t get sound on Coby dvd while connected to Samsung tv

Connected Coby DVD player to Samsung tv via hdmi but can’t get sound. Tv is connected to cable box with component cables.

Check the set up menu of the DVD player.
Make sure it is set to output audio via HDMI.
Try changing the audio output type in that same menu.
Try a different source into the same HDMI input.
Try a different HDMI input.
