I have a Dell XPS 410 with a Core 2 Quad Q6700, 8gb memory, a 120gb SSD, and a Geforce gtx 745 graphics card. The motherboard is fried to the point where it usually takes multiple tries to get the computer to start up properly. since the symptoms of a bad motherboard (leaking caps, overheating chipset, abnormally fast-running fans, etc.) started showing up, my computer has been slower overall. It used to take a couple seconds to boot, now it takes a few minutes. It also can't run gamecube games smoothly anymore. I'm wondering, is the bad motherboard affecting the performance of the computer?
