I have a PC Specialist Cosmos 2 laptop, with i3 4th gen 2.5ghz (2 cores) i3-4100M, and nvidia 840m graphics card, everything is working great, I just wanted a fancy MSI laptop. The cosmos 2 has 8 gb ram, upgradeabe to 16gb dvd writer, 15' display 1366x768. It also has a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB but im thinking of swapping back to the original one which is 500gb 5400rpm. I forgot to mention I am from Great Britain so british pounds would be great, but dollar value would be a helpful guide

Check online sites like eBay for completed deals on your laptop (or similar to yours). This will give you a ball-park value.

Just checked - your laptop is from a custom builder in UK. I don't know how popular is that builder, but I would not hold my hopes very high. You can get new laptop with similar or better specs (sans SSD) for like $600.

But at end of all - it all depends of what prospective buyer(s) are willing to spend. I am sure you will have buyer for $200, not so sure for $500.
