Can anyone recommend a pc headset with great sound quality?

Hi all,

I am looking to get a new PC gaming headset. Cost really isn't too much of an issue. All I am really looking for is the headset that has the best sound quality. I guess that whole surround sound for gaming is a plus, but I am placing sound quality above that.

I was looking at the razer kraken but some reviews said that the bass was too boomy. I don't mind a strong bass, but I don't want any muddy sounds.

Advice?

siberia steel series v2s are awesome, surround sound is not all its cracked up to be i have g35s and there 7.1 surround, but the steel series are way way better even though they are only stereo , they reproduce bass to bellow 18hz and are clear and crisp with good mids and treble,
best set of headphones iv owned anyway and they dont cost the earth, and you can hear were people are Really coming from unlike the surround sound ones witch can make it hard to tell were the sneaky knife welding buggers are

yep, i have owned 2 5.1 headsets, while they are not bad, i like my m50x better. better in sound quality, even for games and even if it's 2 channel only.
i agree with the suggestion above
