Looking for a laptop and recommendations. I've chosen 4 that I'm considering:

Asus 15" Flip intel i5 6GB RAM 500GBHDD

Asus 15" intel i5 8GB RAM 500 GBHDD

Asus 15" ROG intel i7 16GB RAM 1T HDD turbo master

Toshiba 17" AMD A6 6GB RAM 750 GB HDD

I really would appreciate any feedback on the choices I've mentioned. Thank you ;)

ASUS has a much better build quality imo. I've always felt that Toshiba's feel like cheap sometimes (well besides the fact they cost a lot less and have the springy-est keyboards). I just like the overall feel of the ASUS, it feels more sturdy.

Otherwise for parts and such, its all about luck, you could get the one lemon, or you could have one that lasts forever, goes for either company.

First off, we need to know a bit more about the laptops such as the model number would be helpful as well as the specific i5 model (such as i5-####X, where # is the 4 digit model number and the X is the type of processor either M or U)

Second thing, we need to know what you plan on doing with it, as well as price, such as you're looking for maybe a gaming laptop and budget around $1000. Or you're looking for a laptop with a long life and etc.

Ultimately, the Asus 15" ROG intel i7 16GB RAM 1T HDD turbo master is probably the best since thats the Republic of Gamer series and its made for gaming so the specs would be higher.

Whichever is cheaper between

Asus 15" R510 LAV-RS51
Asus 15" R554LA-RH51T

Whichever you prefer, specs wise they are near identical except for 1 extra feature and one has 6 GB RAM vs the other with 8 GB. Unless you're doing some crazy movie editing, in which 8 is better. Be careful as a lot of ASUS laptops (and pretty much everyone) can't upgrade RAM anymore.

HDD space isn't too important as 500 GB is still like 100+ HD Movies, and you can always get a portable HDD for dirt cheap.
