can i buy an adapter to convert my hdmi port into a usb port

hi, is there an adapter I can buy that fits into the hdmi port on my tv that converts it into a usb port to accept my usb memory stick

Its not possible. The tv will be expecting a digital signal and you can't convert that to read a sd card or usb stick.

You can use an Android TV box to play videos on a usb stick through an HDMI input. The WD TV media box did that too but has been discontinued.
