Hello all.

I have searched for this a couple of times and I can't seem to find a direct answer.

I am trying to connect my Xbox One to the optical port on my back of my PC and have the audio come out of my headset that is also connect to the PC. I know I can do this using an Astro Mixamp but I was hoping there was a way I could do this without using a mixamp. I thought I was able to do this with the 360 but I do not remember.

If anyone has any ideas or an answer, please let me know. Thanks!

Unless you have a discrete sound card with optical input (of which there are not many and they are expensive) there is no way to plug something in to input sound through the optical. Any optical port you find on the back of your PC is output only.
