Can I hook up some kind of wireless headphones to my TV to Soundbar setup?

Hi Tom's Hardware,

My stepson is hard of hearing, and I'd like to set up some wireless headphones for him (closed captions are also difficult).

My current TV is a Samsung UN60JU6400. I have that sending audio via an optical cable to a VIZIO S4251w-B4 soundbar.

I have no specific headphones in mind and will defer to you on what would work easily, or at least at all. How can I do this? What would I need?

You can split the optical out

and connect a bluetooth transmitter to one output

for any wireless bluetooth headphones. Connect the soundbar to the other connection.
