I recently switched from my old pc-dedicated wireless headset to a new pair of bluetooth headphones (Skullcandy Crusher EVO, if it matters). I bought a TP-Link bluetooth USB adapter for them, and while they work great, they seem to be going on standby whenever no audio is actively playing. This might save battery, but it takes them a second or so to start up, meaning I miss the first second of audio in videos, notification noises, etc. This is only a problem on the PC, though. They work just fine when connected to a phone.
Is it possible to adjust my bluetooth settings in such a way to keep my headphones permanently going? Is this a limitation of the adapter I bought?
