Hey. I don't really know much about this subject, so please, forgive me. I've had this baby for about 5 years strong. However, it's starting to slow down a bit. I have 2 gb ram and i just ordered 8 gb ram. Is there anything else i need to improve? I can really upgrade gpu internally because I have integrated graphics card (fml). Is it possible to just hook something up to my laptop so that it will combine the forces maybe? If I connect my laptop to 18 inch TV am I good? Again, I'm really dumb at this stuff. Thanks

Yes it's possible but not practical. You need to get an external PCIe adapter to use with a PCIe internal slot or with a ExpressCard slot http://www.amazon.com/Laptop-External-PCI-E-Graphics-Card/dp/B00Q4VMLF6
Then you need to buy a power supply to run the video card and the video card itself.

For a 5 year laptop, unless it was high end when you got it, not worth it at all. You will be better off selling yours and buying a new one.
