hi it's been a year since I ask anything about computers. Lately, This year I have a lot of customers for video editing.
I only have 3 PCs:
1. intelcore i5 i5 4690k
with 16 gb ram
2. AMD a10 5800k
with 8gb ram
3. athlon IIx2 255
with 4k ram

Since me and my partner have a lot of videos to edit I told my brother to help me with editing so I am planning to let him use my athln II x2. that was just intended for uploading and downloading task. I wonder if I can speed it up to be an editing PC it has 3.1 ghz (not overclocked yet). will it be faster if I bought a dualchanel gskill ripjaw? and it has a built in 2gb video display but should I buy a graphic card for that?

Solution
Unfortunately no. However, good news is that you can buy a Phenom 2: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMD-Phenom-II-X6-HDT55TFBK6DGR-2-8GHz-Six-Core-CPU-Processor-AM3-125W-/361454373248?hash=item54285c0980:g:IxoAAOSwCQNWecXr (ebay is just an example, but if you can, buy a phenom that's less than $90 (used or new, doesen't matter).)

The hexa and quad core versions that I know of are actually faster than the FX 8320 in pure single threaded performance, and are pretty close to the FX 8320 in terms of multi threaded speed. It's wayy faster than a athlon 2, so you should be good to go.

yeah right as I thought it's very old I can't spend a lot right now because I'm saving a budget for another dslr.

but I have an am3 socket motherboard I'm not sure about the name but it has a 2gb builtin video display Can I use an FX processor for that?

wow that was a real good news but phenom is rare in philippines. (I here for now). I just have another question. I already have an AMD a10 can it match with my i5 in playing assassin's creed?

No problem.

It depends on if the A10 and i5 are using a descrete GPU or intigrated, if IGPU, then the A10 will run circles around the i5, if with a dGPU, then it's the other way around. :)
