Hello! I have a Lenevo y510p gaming laptop, but i want to upgrade my CPU. Is upgrading it possible?

Solution
According to http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/lenovo/y-series/y510p/#tab-tech_specs you have an i7-4700MQ, which luckily is a socketed processor that can indeed be upgraded. The Core i7-4910MQ is the best processor you can get, but you'll only be getting marginal improvements of 500 MHz on the CPU, 150 MHz on the IGP (which is subject to thermal restrictions and you probably don't care about IGP performance anyway), and hardware virtualization support. Prices on 4910MQ's are ~$270 on eBay, while you could sell your i7-4700MQ for around $150, assuming you can actually find a buyer.
