What is the model of an AMP? Some have Dynamic Power per Channel 8/6/4/2 ohms = 130/160/215/310W

Generally, you'll be OK as long as you don't turn your amp all the way up. Also a good AMP always has a fuse.

If the amp is well protected it will shut down when it can't drive the load or overheats.
If it's not protected you would either blow a fuse or the amp.
If you try it bring the volume up slowly over a period of time.
