Can I use a Galaxy S6 as a full fledged film cam?

Hello Community,
So today I need ya'lls opinions.
So, I have two friends who own a smartphone capable of 4k recording. A LG G4 and a Galaxy S6.
Now, I am a beginning enthusiast short filmmaker.
I want to make things like decent 10-15 minute short films just for my channel, for the fun and experience.
My idea is to have a tripod for most situations, but for when I am running around filming, I want something like a camcorder. If you have ever owned a Sony Handycam (which I doubt your younger self took apart because it needed a battery), you would remember how comfortable it felt in your hand. I am looking for basically a shell to turn the S6 or G4 into a filmcam.
I can make a mounting enclosure with a strap, but I wanted an opinion on parts.
I'm going to make a holster to hold the S6 in a horizontal 16:9 format. I plan on buying this microphone.

I hear it is good, what do you think?

Also, I am wanting some sort of remote or usb device to plug into the phone, so I can control the artificial zoom, start / stop recording, etc. Any ideas on that?

I am open to anything!
TLDR; How can I get a decent mic, zoom control, start / stop control, for my friend's S6.

Thanks!

That will work. You just attach the mic and should be able to capture the noise as you record. The direction maybe something you have to tamper with. The v10 is the best I have used for recording, but the s6 is almost as good minus all the pro options.

So, that sounds good. But my more major concern is how can I remotely control the zoom of the galaxy s6 and start / stop because the camera will be too far for me to reach.

i dont know what the hell are you thinking but a smartphone even if it can record 4k is not good for film making. even if it's just short videos. I would use a go pro hero black instead. for zooming do not bother I used to make videos with canon c100 with a fixed lens and I am currently using a canon 5d with 50 mm fixed lens too. zoom doesn't matter. if you want a wide shot go away in a distance if you want a zoomed shoot closeups.

but don't bother to be a filmaker with a phone use it for pornography instead :D

You can't. simple as that.

Well, if you're good with electronics you could attach a capacitance pen to a motor and work the screen that way, but at that point you might as well just buy a cheap camcorder that will end up taking far better video. 4K is just not worth considering right now, and 1080p60 cameras are cheap.
