Can I use a Signage TV as Home TV for Streaming Only?

Looking at using a Samsung UE55D tv as a home tv for Streaming Only. I have cut the cable and only stream services.

Does any one know if this is a good match for streaming? Advantages, Disadvantages?

TV has a relative high price $ 3000 but i have found a 2 yr old model at a very good price. http/displaysolutions.samsung.com/products/lfdProducts/86

Advantages on that set are the displayport 1,2 input and that it is factory calibrated for correct color.
A signage TV is designed to be operated 24/7 so it has a longer lifespan than a consumer model TV but you have to assume that a used one has been on for two years straight. Unless the price is very very low it may not be such a good deal.
