I am aboit to buy some ram from a friend it is ddr3 1600 and my mobo only supports 1333 O.C. so will the ram just automatically under clock?
SPECS
Core 2 quad q9550
Asus p5p41t-le
Pny Gtx 750 1gb
Currently 4gb 1066
500w psu

Thank you for taking the time to answer

Solution
It should underclock to the highest possible frequency, but there's no warranty that it will work. Only way is trying, but it simply will work or it won't.

The motherboard will most likely under clock it, and in the VERY unlikely chance it doesn't work you could down clock it manually if your motherboard supports it (most do).
