Can laptop hdmi connect to 120hz monitor?

Can my laptop hdmi 1.4 connect to a 1080p/120hz monitor or it will limit to 60hz only? My laptop is MSI GP62MVR 7RFX

You should check with laptop support. I think 14.b should be able to run 1080 at 120hz but depends on the device you are using.
